hi everybody..
while cleaning out some drawers, discovered some schooltime documents..
here s of a copy of a copy of a smokepull (sorry for the poor quality) that might have been served as model, in the engraving section of the FN plant in Herstal..

Just thought it would be some nice study material and a historical item as well.. If I remember well, I saw the name A.Bee somewhere on the original, but I could be wrong..
Engravers in that time (and probably still do now) received a time limit to finish the job, and I would really like to know more on that subject as well .. I know there are some (ex) FN people hanging around here.. so.. thanks a lot in advance..

Frank

Frank, this is pretty cool. The second and third guns I ever engraved, back in 83-84 was copys of Renansaince patterns on HPs. Only problem was that the pictures I was working from were about 2 inches long, so needless to say there was a lot of my own interpetation in there. I should dig up photos of them and post them. It was 3 o4 years later before I saw a real Rennasaince pattern. Anyway, the customer was happy. Any chance of getting a higher rez version from you that I could print out and keep in my files?
