Antonio, This is a world class decorative knife and I would like to know what it would appraise for. I also would like to see what the experts say at the big Blade Show. My prediction is nothing but the highest of praise for your work.

Best regards and gracias

Thanks for the comments.
The steel plate was drilled before temper and was a tricky task.

Thanks for the comments.
This knife was made for my personal collection.
Some years ago I had an intensive phase as a craftsman of cutlery. was very high-end knives and gold (deluxe). For lack of recognition in my country and many difficulties, I lost my enthusiasm for the cutlery. I focused on my true passion ... prints.
This is the second best part of my collection, but the best part of my collection and masterful, is light years ahead of the knife that I have shown in this forum.

Do you ever sell your drawings?
Kevin P.
Friend Kevin:

Thanks for the words.

The designs I have are original, ie, drawings in pencil. I have many original designs in pencil and keep as a souvenir, so that some day be exposed in a museum, with many pieces from my personal collection.

When I asked if I thought about selling my drawings, do not understand how it might be possible ....¿ You mean make a small book? o What would be the possibility?

Thank you.

Antonio

Dear Friend:

Thanks for your words. As I do not speak English, I did not understand very well some of his words.
You asked me the price of this knife? . This knife could be worth around about 12000 dollars, but not for sale.

I will respond to you. I left a few years ago to make knives. My last knife I did was in 2005. Knives because I stopped doing my work was not properly appreciated in Spain, on leaders of the cutlery.
I lost the illusion of making knives and cutlery left.
I showed this knife is my second piece, but I have a Gothic piece (master) that exceeds the knife light years ahead of this post.
Some people who have seen my best Gothic piece, have been pleasantly surprised and feel that this is a world class knife.

When you talk about the "big Blade Show, do not quite understand that you are referring to.
Anyway I have to say, I stopped making cutlery and just left me nostalgic side of a very creative stage.

Antonio

Estimado amigo :

Antonio,

Thanks for your continued posting of your fine work. To answer your question about The Blade Show here is some information.

The Blade Show is the world’s biggest knife show and happens in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

More than 700 exhibitors and thousands of knife collectors from around the world go to the BLADE Show for three days of buying, selling and learning more about knives. There are more than 108,000 square feet of knife exhibits!

National groups, including the American Bladesmith Society and Knifemaker Guild, choose the BLADE Show as their meeting place. Many engravers also meet and exhibit there.

The show ends on a Sunday when many engravers travel to Monteagle, Tennessee to attend the Engrave-In hosted by Scott Pilkington. Engravers from around the world meet at the Engrave-In to view each other's work, exchange ideas and attend teaching sessions.

It would be very good to have Antonio visit these two special events.

Roger

Roger Friend:

thanks for the information he has provided me. I imagine it will be a great show to attend such fairs or exhibitions, where great teachers involved knives and large master engravers.

Attending, he would be my pleasure and a great illusion, but I travel and the distance is too great. Anyway enjoy watching the pictures when displayed on the forum.
Thanks friend Roger.
